A study report on physical follow-up of runaway children – Mandar Nayak (2012)

This study report, by Mr. Mandar Nayak is an important document that throws light on the situation of children from different categories after they are restored back with their families. The categories include children with alcoholic parents, children who have undergone SATHI camp, girl children, children with step parents and those who come from very poor families among others. The physical home-visits of 500 children conducted goes on to show that nearly 80% of the children stay back at home after restoration and another 10% remain in contact with their families. The study also captures the changes observed in the child and the family after repatriation.
