A study of children on railway platforms and their repatriation (2006)

The study, conducted by Mr. Saboo in 2006, analyzes the profile of runaway children – age, education, family backgroud, duration on the platform, frequency of running away, etc. The study also looks at the efforts to trace their family and the reactions of the child and family after reunification. It is explored if there are any connections between economic condition and efforts put by families to trace their child; between frequency of running away and the condition of the family; duration of stay on the platform and the quality of their life; and other such aspects.
