Jayanta Patra is an experienced multi-sectoral development professional with 15+ years of experience in the social sector, working across diverse contexts to advance inclusion, equity, and the rights and well-being of marginalized communities.
His core areas of work include inclusive education, child rights, social inclusion, people-centred advocacy, livelihoods, social protection, and environmental sustainability. Over the years, Jayanta has worked with grassroots, national, and international NGOs in various capacities, while also contributing to and strengthening several state- and national-level thematic networks.
Hailing from Odisha, India, Jayanta is a Ford Fellow and holds an MA in Sustainable International Development from The Heller School for Social Policy and Management, Brandeis University, USA. Jayanta has also completed a course in Human Rights at Harvard University, USA.
