Yallamma’s Determination to Complete Her Degree
Yallamma is a 20-year-old student from Bolamandoddi village in Bijanagere Gram Panchayat, Raichur. She is currently pursuing her B.A. II Year and is determined to complete her degree despite challenging circumstances.
Yallamma comes from an economically vulnerable family with limited and irregular sources of income. Her parents are elderly, and the responsibility of supporting the family largely rests on her elder brother. Her younger brother is studying in II PUC. With the family already struggling to manage daily expenses, supporting Yallamma’s higher education has become increasingly difficult.
Due to the family’s limited financial resources, meeting the costs of college fees, books, and other academic needs was difficult, placing Yallamma’s continuation in college at risk.
Through the SATHI–TDH project, Yallamma has been identified for educational support to help her continue her studies. The support will cover her college fees, study materials for competitive examinations, and other essential academic expenses for the coming academic year.
This assistance will enable Yallamma to continue her higher education without interruption and move closer to building a more secure future for herself and her family.
